Description of the Town or City My Students Come From:

Charlotte is a relatively multi-cultural mid-size city with lots of suburbian subdivisions. There is a thriving homeschool community that graduates many top scholars into the best US Universities, and several excellent multi-cultural academic programs in the public schools.
One of the best things about Charlotte is The International House. It's a nonprofit that fosters awareness and participation in and by the local international community. There are free conversation hours in several languages that allow for any level of mastery; they put on concerts that showcase music from around the world; and they offer legal help to expatriates.
