- Besides making art, I am also an author. I've written a number of magazine articles. My book "The Pitiful Gardener's Handbook" is for beginning gardeners.

- We are a 6th grade class; some are 11 and others 12 years old. We have art once a week at school. We are studying the ancient cultures of the world in social studies.
- Description of the Town or City My Students Come From:
- We live just a few miles from Hollywood -- which is known around the world. This is the center of the movie industry. But Los Angeles is a huge bustling city, so there are many things to do. Our school sits in the hills above the city, and it looks like countryside. You'd be surprised that we see deer and rabbits every day here in the middle of the second largest city in America.

The art from China arrives in Los Angeles, California
We received a huge package from our partner class in Chengdu, China! Not only was there art, but every child in their English class also made a personal poster and wrote a letter in English. My class of 32 sixth graders (age 11-12 years old) was very impressed. They especially enjoyed reading about the Chinese students' likes and dislikes.
